Our day is here. Though we really wish it was more of a weeklong celebration, as it turns out National Doughnut Day isn’t just some made up holiday created by some evil doughnut conglomerate to spike sales. Go figure, right.
The holiday was actually created in 1938 by The Salvation Army to honor members who served doughnuts to the soldiers during World War I, as well as to fundraise for charity.
