What I love about Rachel's blog is that it is dense and honest and beautiful and I never stop and'ing. It's like if your conversations with friends could read like a good book. It's real in a beautiful way. We're back in a familiar place and were with local Rachel Ridings @softspiritstrong - Design Manager at MCA Denver "I get to be an artist in a place that celebrates art! I am constantly in a creative environment working on really cool projects. It's every designers dream... The best thing about Denver is the community that this city fosters. Denver natives are proud to be from Denver because it's a genuine, beautiful place with genuine, beautiful people."
Happy Monday! Did you guys get your coffee yet? Denver has an amazing coffee scene, thanks to places like @huckleberryroasters. There are two locations in Denver, both equally charming. My favorite coffee blend of theirs is Blue Orchid. Def go try it out!

...and the next stop on your first day of Denver exploration is @ironwoodcollection. One part plant store, one part art gallery, one part eclectic odds and ends, all parts good vibes: Ironwood is full of everything beautiful. Favorites: air plants, ceramics, gem stones, piñon incense, zodiac candles.
When people think "Denver," I don't think "oysters" is usually the first thing to pop into their mind (unless they're thinking Rocky Mountain Oysters 😦), but Denver is a city of transplants. We have an incredibly diverse culinary scene that include places like @cart_driver, which offers oysters and specialty pizzas. As a native to this city, it's been so amazing seeing places pop up that rival the best restaurants in the country.

My favorite coffee shop in the whole state of Colorado is @blackeyecoffee. This photo is of their second location that just opened in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. The new shop is serving coffee, food AND cocktails, so basically there's no reason to ever leave.
How is Tuesday treating you?! I hope really well. One of the best parts of Denver is that we're an hour away from some of the most amazing National Forests in the world. It's a strong allure for Denverites to not just slip off to the mountains during their lunch hour (or maybe that's just me 😉). This photo is from Guanella Pass in the Arapaho National Forest. I highly recommend getting out for a fall hike this weekend if you're in the Denver area!

Okay, it's definitely the end of ice cream season in Denver (it only made it to 69 degrees today 😭) but I couldn't resist. @sweetactionicecream is a Denver favorite. They have amazing flavors (brown butter and earl grey shown here) and also have a huge selection of vegan icecream. Heaven in a cone. 😋🍦
Okay maybe I'm a little biased because I happen to work here, but I love @mca_denver. With world class exhibitions (Mark Mothersbaugh: Myopia, anyone?), quirky programming and a gorgeous space, MCA Denver is a great stop for art lovers, culture lovers, architecture lovers and Denver lovers. Current exhibition: Marilyn Minter Pretty/Dirty 👠

Good morning! Half way through the week! Here's another amazing Denver coffee shop (I told you we had a bunch!), located on East Colfax, called @bellwetherclub. The cool thing about Bellwether is that it isn't just coffee... It's also a clothing store that serves whisky...

Beer:30, anyone? If you're jonesing for a really good beer and a good-vibes place to sit, check out @ratiobeerworks. Seriously tasty beer in a gorgeous retro styled warehouse space. Oh, and they have a rockin' patio. 🍻🔮

The @still_museum is one of the true gems of Denver in my opinion. It's a museum dedicated completely to the life and work of abstract expressionist painter Clyfford Still. With rotating exhibitions and being one of the most gorgeous architectural buildings in the city, it's a must-see.
Happy weekend, guys! If you're in Denver, head on over to @barfausto for a delicious cocktail and some yummy eats this evening. Don't be shy of the #1, which has Blue Curaçao in it, but doesn't taste like a Chili's margarita, I promise.

Well friends, it's been such a fun week exploring Denver with you all! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Here's one of my favorite "secret" spots in Denver. It's a sunflower field that blossoms in early August. It's located near the Denver International Airport and is a favorite among instagrammers and photographers in the area. For more secret and not-so-secret Colorado spots, follow @gooddenver. Thanks @withthelocals for having me! 🌻💛
