As a wise woman once said, "I’m out that H-tow. coming, coming down. I’m coming down dripping candy on the ground. H, H-town, town, I’m coming down. Coming down, dripping candy on the ground." Yep, that's right, we're in #Houston this week with DIY wise woman Ashley Rose. You'll know her best from her crafty and colorful blog Sugar & Clot, where you'll find at least 10 things to add to your To-Do list. @sugarandcloth has grown to love Houston as much as Beyonce, which is, like, a lot. "Houston definitely has some hidden gems that are putting it on the map for creatives and foodies alike, and these are some of my favorite places for both, with everything from museums, shopping, coffee and drinks, to dinner and dessert."
First up Common Bond Cafe & Bakery:
Prepare yourself for pastry heaven @wearecommonbond, and you're eyes won't hate it either. If you're the type of person take food photos before allowing anyone to sit down at the table, this is your place!
You may never taste a flavor explosion quite like @pondicheri. We always look for a good excuse to go here for a clever take on Indian cuisine, and they just opened a bake lab upstairs that will blow your mind!
If you're looking for a good all American lunch without shame and topped with cheese, @berniesburgerbus is a one-of-a-kind Houston visit. You can catch their food truck bus or the brick and mortar in Bellaire
This is a shop, @shopsaintcloud, that I always recommend to people visiting for some of the most curated home decor and accessories in Houston, I always love everything they have! For similar style in fashion and unique items you should also check out @mythandsymbol, @biscuithome @settlementgoods!
(at Saint Cloud)
If you consider yourself a macaron connoisseur then you'll be instant best friends with the folks at @bitemacarons, a cute little patisserie with every flavor and color you can imagine. They definitely won't disappoint!
(at Bite Macarons)
One of the must hit spots in #EaDo, @toutsuitehtx, will not disappoint whether you're just in the mood for coffee, breakfast, lunch, brunch, or dinner. It's also one of the best spots for an office away from the office to work on a rainy afternoon, and our studio is just upstairs so we frequent it a lot!
(at Tout Suite)
A great place for a nice, out of the box dinner that won't break the bank, @lkoysterette is definitely one of my favorite choices locally. Nevermind the fact that I want my whole house to look just like it.
(at Liberty Kitchen)
@Catalinacoffee is a spot in Houston strictly dedicated to a good cup of coffee, so leave your laptop at home, you're just here for the espresso and latte art. You can also stop by @reservesupplycompany and @cutthroatbarbers right next door.
(at Catalina Coffee)
@bl4smith is one of our absolute favorite coffee spots. You can't make a visit without ordering their scratch made biscuits with marmalade and creme fraiche, it's impossible to have a bad morning with those around!
The @camhouston is a really great place to check out if you're looking for all things modern art, plus it's always free admission and is right smack in the middle of the museum district so you can easily hop over to @MFAHouston, @Menilcollection, and lots of others. Stick around for lunch time and you're likely to catch an awesome food truck or two. - @sugarandcloth
The name pretty much sums it all up, but @sweethouston was my first love here. This tiny little bakery has one purpose, and that's to make you fall in love with cake… or something like that! Plus the cake display wall will keep your Instagram feed going strong!
@thehoneymoonhtx opens early and stays open late with everything from coffee to cocktails and the cutest French inspired decor in town. It's a great place for lunch or a simple date night before headed out onto Main Street for some of the best local cocktail stops like The Pastry War, Captain Foxheart's Bad News Bar, and Okra.

The guys over at @manreadymerc are genuinely one of a kind, and so is everything they meticulously curate for their all American, handmade premium goods shop. It's also right in the middle of 19th Street which is part of the Historic Heights part of Houston that's definitely worth exploring.
