I really enjoy the little bit of time I get with you guys each week, don't think twice about it. But when I chatted with this week's Local, it turned out she was going to make my job very easy. So damn it, I'm letting her. "I'm Amelie @hellolaroux, native from the north of France but adopted by Marseille, my new beloved city. I'm a junior graphic designer but also editor, content creator and photographer on the travel blog www.hellolaroux.com.
God knows how Marseille is a such indomitable and rebellions city. Here there are no 'half measures': you love Marseille, or not! But, this is not just a mess, this is a new city who breaking codes that too often stuck her (dirty streets, drug traffic, pollution..). Marseille is an incredible, eclectic city and she's so rich of different cultures.
I dont know yet how many years I'll live here, but I know that I'm feeling well, right now here, to contemplating Mediterranean sea with lavender and pine smell and listening cicadas to sing. I like this idea to living in a city as beautiful as chaotic. There are some beauty that we can't explain. But, I find Marseille, beautiful! Beautiful to be rebellious and different, beautiful to be extravagant. Just beautiful in its own way!
Cheers, Amelie @hellolaroux"
You heard the lady! Cheers,

Before to showing food/shop tips, I must absolutely to share with you, the thing you CAN't miss: Calanques and sea! Here, everybody live with the sea and it remains very important to us! This photo is just an introduction for this week with you, and I hope you'll enjoy it.

An excellent and too cosy address that I've just discovered the last week, to drink good coffee and juice, and to eat delicious muffins. Perfect to start your day! 👉@coogeegram
This place is so cosy, you don't feel at home? The atmosphere is really friendly and everything is homemade. The lychee and white chocolate iced is just 👌@coogeegram
Finish the day at "Au Vallon des Auffes", a typical small port, simple and alive. Do not miss "Fonfon", a typical restaurant where you can taste the real bouillabaisse (a mix of fishes dish).🐟
(at Le Vallon des Auffes)
Even in Marseille you can to find some really, really nice concept / design or lifestyle store ! Here, this is the @gooddesignstore in downtown, where you will find a wide selection of products, chosen carefully.

if you want a terrace that serves good coffees and teas , as well as small cakes, Cafés Debout has what you need . With a good geographical location too.
(at Cafe Debout)
To taste an original ice, go to @glacier_vanille_noire
Their star? A vanilla ice scream, sweet, salt and iodized. Surprising at first, but soooo delicious. Other tastes detonated of ordinary glaciers 🍦
I finish with my best food addresses with burgers of @le_bar_bu.
Everything is homemade and, God, this is absolutely delicious!
It was difficult for me to make a selection as there are places of interest in Marseille. Feel free to follow me

I could not , not to speak of a symbol of Marseille : "Notre Dame de la Garde", called "La Bonne Mère" (the Good Mother) . She dominates the whole city from the top of a hill, and protects Marseilles . In the traditions, she protects fishermen
It's time for me to make orders to @campwilson that I would like to thanks again for this great opportunity to introduce you to Marseille. I hope you've enjoyed this week with me, and you really want to discover Marseille right now haha. I'm so happy to live here and I hope I've shown it to you.
