It's hard not to fall in love with ceramic artist Emily Reinhardt's work. @theobjectenthusiast's pieces are light, thoughtful, and perfect additions to make home feel homier. "I create heirlooms for the modern traditionalist. Holding a mound of clay and working with it until it becomes another person’s treasure truly makes my heart full... I just started a new line of ceramic wares with LA based illustrator, Tuesday Bassen @tuesdaybassen, called Girlfriend Ceramics. Our first collection launches this week!" On top of launching @girlfriend_ceramics, she'll also be showing us around her city of Omaha, Nebraska this week.
Are you guys in love yet?
good morning everybody! emily here from @theobjectenthusiast. it's gray and rainy here in omaha today but it sure is nice inside @archetypecoffee! i'm making local pottery deliveries this morning but knew i needed coffee first. @archetypecoffee will be featuring some new roasts later this month, so do be sure to stop in!

i went out delivering pottery to a bunch of locals today. i love getting to hand deliver my work and meet the person buying it. i moved my studio into @benchomaha last november and i'm so glad to have a space that allows me to connect in person with my customers a little easier than having a studio in my basement. more about bench tomorrow!
pretty positive that chilly, rainy days are the only opportunity to go to @tedandwallys when there isn't a line out the door. brownie mix ice cream for lunch it is!
good morning! i'm excited to show you around my studio today. located in north downtown omaha sits the creative workshop @benchomaha. (i secretly feel guilty for getting the most beautiful studio in the whole house.) full of bright light and budding creative businesses, it's the best place to call home for my studio.
one of the best parts about having my studio inside @benchomaha is getting to teach ceramic workshops. this saturday is another pinch pot planter workshop where students get to make and paint 3 hand formed ceramic planters. i get really inspired by first time ceramicists because they aren't afraid of messing up, and they'll try anything. i need to work on returning to that state of mind with some of my own work! if you're in #omaha and want to join us this weekend for the ceramic planter workshop, sign up at
today has been exceptionally exciting with the launch of a new collection of work called @girlfriend_ceramics. i've teamed up with LA based (nebraska native!) illustrator, @tuesdaybassen and we started a line of work a little different than what you would come to expect from @theobjectenthusiast. this collection was cooked up last wednesday over pb&j sandwiches, and today it launched. there's something exciting about seeing a project through from start to finish in a short amount of time.
when it rains four days in a row you sort of just have to give in and go get your hair done. so many friends of mine go get their hair done by @rebeccaforsythat @bungaloweightomaha so i thought i'd go get some sassy brigitte bardot hair to perk me up on this rainy studio day. rebecca has clients that fly in from all over the country to see her. she taught me how to make my hair bigger than it really is which is always my goal. just another hidden gem here in
on a mission to find the perfect succulent for my @girlfriend_ceramics freckle face planter at my favorite place in the whole neighborhood, indian creek nursery! they just got a ton of new plants in this week, i had the hardest time choosing!

phew! it's been a busy saturday here at @benchomaha for my ceramic planter workshop. but my weekend officially starts NOW!

last post from me for the week! thanks for having me show you some of my favorite places in #omaha! last one is from a quick stop at jacobo's grocery for some of the best chips and salsa i've ever had! ironically it was a friend in kansas city that gave me the tip! a huge bucket of salsa and a bag of homemade chips is only about $5 too, so how can you beat that?!
