Now we don't like to play favorites around here, but Portland holds some serious respect among the travel community. You'll see Portland showing up on lists that include @travelandleisure's "America's Most Romantic Cities', @bonappetitmag's 'America's Foodiest Small Town', @Frommerstravel's 'Top Travel Destinations', @GQ's 'Coolest Small Cities in America', @Huffingtonpost's 'America's Best Food Cities'. Portland landed at number one n @Forbes 2009 'America's Most Livable City'. nd even With the Local's very own imaginary senior superlatives, 'Most Likely to Make Us Hungry Even After All That Turkey and Pie'. This week we're with Portland photographer and web designer Abigail Johnson-Ruscansky @aabbyylou. Like her beloved city, Abby holds her own on some awesome lists, too. Like @Time's "Instagram Photographers to Follow in All 50 States". "Portland is small yet so interesting. In five minutes you can walk from downtown to the waterfront. My best advice is just to park the car, walk around and explore all of Portlands nooks."
Happy Monday! @aabbyylou here. My favorite place for coffee in Portland is Bard Coffee (@bardcoffee) and if you follow me, you know that already! They remodeled the whole shop this year and updated the decor. The whole front of the shop has large windows and its full of natural light-so of course, it's my go-to spot for a perfect mocha latte.

It's @aabbyylou again! One of my favorite places to get breakfast in Portland is Sonny's @sonnysportland because of this delicious plate: Ojos Grandes. Eggs, beans, potatoes, cheese and corn bread on the side. SO GOOD.
It's @aabbyylou again. Back to give you more spots to check out next time you find yourself in Portland, Maine. Next on the list is Tandem Coffee + Bakery (@tandemcoffeeroasters) where I often visit in the morning to get the most delicious, fluffy-egg-flaky-biscuit breakfast sandwich ever.
