To try to sum up Portland is, well, pointless. Mainly because you’ve heard it all before- so I’m not going to bother. But I will say, if you have a chance to go, you totally should. It’s one of the easiest places to fall in love with. This week’s Local - student, artist, musician - Ayaka Terakawa says “there’s a lot more to it than voodoo doughnuts and hipster baristas.” Which is pretty clear from her beautiful photos @ayakateal - in Portland, there is a little something different (and weird) for every type of personality.

Good vibes, choose your own music, watch a movie, eat some cajun tots, you name it! Enjoying the night at McMenamins Kennedy School @mcmenamins, one of Portland most unique hotel/historic elementary school.

Lardo- get yourself a beer, some dirty fries, and any of the sandwiches because they’re all great. Tonight I tried the Pho’Rench Dip 😋
Perfect little cafe to have breakfast/brunch. With the restaurant to the left, and pastries to the right, you’ll definitely want to take a croissant home!

This is one of my all time favorite places to go to when I need some time alone to think or do work. It’s a cute little Japanese cafe. If you’re a fan of matcha, I definitely recommend their matcha latte, either iced or hot, and their matcha brownie.
@pipsoriginal Raw honey & sea salt mini donuts and a Heart of Gold iced chai tea. Perfect way to start off the day!
I want everything here 😍 cute vintage furniture, clothes, lamps, etc.
My favorite record and CD store. It’s a wonderful feeling wandering around with a giant stack of CD’s trying to decide what to buy. And everything is available to listen to at the counter!

The farmer’s market is every Saturday at the Portland State park blocks! It goes on through March-December from 8:30am-2:00pm. I usually buy my fresh veggies and organic products here for a great price, and sample all the good food they have :)
