A really reat perk to this gig, I get to chat with some of my favorite people behind amazing Instagrams. And Yan @msyan_ is very much so one of my favorites. Go check out her account. Right now. Go ahead, we'll wait... Awesome, right? Right. "For as long as I can remember my parents have owned a Chinese restaurant and thus my food journey began. Because of the restaurant, my parents would have odd hours and most of the time I wasn’t able to have a proper meal with them. Howeve, most nights my dad would come home at 10pm with a bag full of food in takeout containers and that was my version of a home cooked meal. I love how food isn’t just something that you consume but it’s a part of how experiences are made. I truly believe in the statement living to eat instead of eating to live. I love sharing meals between friends and having that shared moment of tasteful joy.
I am proud and happy with each of my image that I post. I love that I can recall a whole day just from a picture of my meal. Every image has a story behind it, from long and eventful to short and mundane. Whatever kind of day it may have ranged from, I was able to capture it in a single food imag. y top secret to taking a food shot is to love what you’re taking a picture of. Get excited! I find that if you truly love what you’re doing, you’d want to photograph it beautifully naturally. ow the actual secret you all want to hear. Just know your style! Once you know that, photographing food becomes a lot easier. You can then continue to grow and develop that style!"
